Step by step through Express Entry

- Get an ECA for your Indian degrees from a designated organization such as WES (ECA guide).
- Check your score with our CRS calculator and the FSW 67-point test.
- Show proof of funds if you're applying under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (proof of funds guide).
- Create your Express Entry profile and wait for an invitation.
- After your ITA, submit your documents within 60 days: reference letters, police certificates, medical exam and more (document checklist).
Documents from India that need care
- Police certificates: from India and every other country where you spent 6+ months since age 18. Follow IRCC's instructions for India.
- Experience letters: on company letterhead with your duties, hours, salary and dates. Duties must match your NOC.
- Bank letters: with a 6-month average balance, and records explaining any large deposits.
- Marriage proof: marriage certificate, photos and, if needed, registration documents.
Protect yourself from immigration fraud
- Only licensed RCICs, Canadian lawyers and Quebec notaries can charge for Canadian immigration advice. Check any consultant on the CICC public register.
- No one can guarantee a visa or a job offer in exchange for money.
- Never pay for a "job offer" or an LMIA. That's illegal and can lead to a ban.
